EMDR intensives offer a focused and accelerated approach to trauma therapy, allowing you to make significant progress in a shorter timeframe compared to shorter weekly sessions.
From October 2024, I will be offering EMDR intensives over 3 or 4 3-hour sessions over a period of one to two weeks.
Why intensive EMDR might be more efficient than weekly sessions
Intensive EMDR therapy allows for concentrated, uninterrupted sessions, which may lead to quicker and more profound healing compared to weekly therapy. This approach reduces the risk of re-traumatisation and emotional fluctuation between sessions, whilst providing a contained environment for deeper processing of trauma. The continuous focus and immediate reinforcement of insights in intensive sessions minimise avoidance and enhance the overall effectiveness of the treatment, making it a more efficient option for those seeking rapid and comprehensive recovery.
