Julia Scott is an accredited therapist with 16 years’ counselling experience gained in Private Practice and in a large voluntary counselling agency in Bristol. In 2011 she completed verified EMDR training that is accredited by EMDR Europe, and has worked successfully both with single traumas and more complex issues resulting from “small-t” traumas in childhood.
Julia is a member of the EMDR Association, UK & Ireland and attends regular supervision, peer groups and workshops to keep up to date with current developments in EMDR. She has recently trained in the R-TEP / G-TEP protocol and the Flash Technique.
She has also recently undertaken somatic trauma therapy training with Babette Rothschild, a trauma therapist and author of The Body Remembers and 8 Keys to Safe Trauma Recovery.
Julia has also completed training in the Safe and Sound Protocol, developed by Dr Stephen Porges, proposer of the Polyvagal Theory.
