Julia Scott is a Senior Accredited therapist with 18 years’ experience of counselling and psychotherapy, gained in Private Practice and in a large voluntary counselling agency in Bristol. In 2011 she completed verified EMDR training that is accredited by EMDR Europe, and has worked successfully both with single traumas and more complex issues resulting from childhood trauma and attachment ruptures.
Julia is a member of EMDR UK and attends regular supervision and workshops to keep up to date with current developments in EMDR. Additional training includes the R-TEP (Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol), the Flash Technique and Attachment-Informed EMDR (Parts 1 and 2).
She has also undertaken Somatic Trauma Therapy training with Babette Rothschild, a trauma therapist and author of The Body Remembers and 8 Keys to Safe Trauma Recovery.
